They are very accommodating and can use corn tortillas instead of flour. Depending on how sensitive you are, i expect you could find a few things that would work
The best I've had in a long time! Extremely friendly staff and very accommodating. As for the person who put the comment, "Slow as molasses in getting the food" ? I believe they would rather have food that's a day old then freshly made! NOTHING bad to say about this AWESOME restaurant!!! Will be going back time and time again.
So much fun! Delicious pupusas and tomales. Be sure to try the horchata drink. Very friendly staff. Wednesdays and Saturdays have live mariachi music. Can't wait to come back.
Pupusas are very small and pricey, we have to ask for the pickle cabbage for the platter Pupusas, very expensive.
Love this place. Pupusas and tamales are great!
Unbelievable tasting food. One of our favorite restaurants. Food is amazing and made fresh to order. Service may seem slow however it's so busy so sit back, grab a beer or wine and enjoy the atmosphere. Food is well worth the wait. Would give 6 stars if available.
My aunt and I come here once a year and it's always a great time. Good food and sometimes they have live music!
Amazing place!! Food was delicious, staff is super friendly, grate vibe. Recommend 100%
Amazing food and atmosphere. Can't wait to go back. Best food I've had in a while.
Nice restaurant. Great food.
Best mexican restaurant in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada baby tons of parking looking forward to my next outing there
Great service! Staff are super friendly, we had the papusas and they were delicious! Will definitely go again
Authentic Salvadorian cuisine with many vegan and vegetarian options! Different days of the week have different specials. The owners are quite friendly. My favorite are the black bean pupusas with salsa and curtido. This place used to supply Mondragon with Corn Tamales and Bean Pupusas back when it existed.
The food is good, and the staff are friendly, but honestly it took too long to come out. We were there for 7.30pm and didn't get food until around 8.45pm. When it finally arrived it was quite good, (try the pupusa!), but honestly don't go if you're in a rush or if you're hungry. The wait might be longer than you think. The poderoso burritos are quite large, so skip appetisers if you want to avoid feeling uncomfortably stuffed.
The vegetarian burrito could have used some flavor. Guacamole or more than a tablespoon of salsa maybe. Nice environment. Slightly pricey for the amount of food you get.
Very nice and cozy restaurant;very fresh and tasty natural juices and of course the food too!
Too expensive and the food are very small portion, not enough for the price that we paid for, the place is very small, the owner is not very nice when we asked the pickle cabbage for the platter Pupusas, not good customer service, so disappointed with everything, we will not go there again! Just below our family expectation!
La Fiesta Cafecito is an awesome place to eat if you've got some time to chill out over dinner. The for is made to order so be prepared to wait a while but it's worth it. First off, make sure you make a reservation. The restaurant is small and busy on weekends. The food is more authentic than North American. Try one of the combo platters to get a broader taste of the menu. The place is family run, so sometimes you see younger extended family helping out ;) The patriarch (grandfather and owner) will sometimes dress up in a formal/cultural El Salvadorian garb and go table to table and sing Spanish slings with his guitar. I think he's awesome but some patrons get self-conscious with all the added attention.
The food here is fantastic and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very friendly and welcoming.
Great service and delicious food! I Highly recommend this place!
Wonderful homemade flavourful food. Top notch. You will enjoy this place.
Not Mexican but South American cuisine. A pleasant change of pace but don't expect the quick service and cheap prices of the former. Pupusas are the must order item. One annoyance was paying extra for the traditional chips & salsa appetizer which turned out to be surprisingly bland in the salsa department. Almost from a jar flavor! To be fair they warn that orders take a long time to prepare but this an be more than you expect. Plan an hour +The place had been crowded on each of my three visits so clearly my quibbles don't matter. The food and decor are charming but this restaurant will not go on my Winnipeg "go to" list.
This is a lovely find. Food was fantastic. The waiter explained the menus for us as it was our first experience at this restaurant. Four of us tried various things and all were very tasty. I would highly recommend this place but would make a reservation to ensure you could get a table.
Fantastic service & delicious food!
Our go to Mexican food. Poderoso's and Burrito's are amazing! The service is wonderful too!
Food is always great here. Always fresh!
Very authentic and quaint restaurant. Enjoyed my meal. Everything was great, with the caveat that I did not love the beef enchilada. It was well made, but just not up to the same caliber as the other food items we tried. Great tamales, pupusas, chicken enchiladas, burritos and salsa. The staff were very kind and warm. I would definitely dine here again and would recommend to friends.Phoned to see if they’re doing in room dining (Covid time) and for the voicemail. It was such a cute message! Looking forward to returning.
Pupupas are awesome
Always excellent food and warm and friendly service. Have been coming here for the last 20 years since they were on Ellice av. From combo platters, the three cheese enchilada, the burrito poderoso, papusas to the merangue dessert, I can’t say what is my favourite,, because I love it all!!
If I could rate it higher then 5 I would!!! I was just there with my family! It is by the the best place to have a home made meal!!! The mariachi is so sweet and friendly he sang me happy birthday and a couple other songs! Its mesmerizing! The food oh my God the food is heavenly!! I had the Burrito Trio and a cheese and been pupusa WOW!!!!! The flavors the freshness it was to die for! You felt the love in every bite. This is now my go to place!Thank you from the bottom of my heart for an amazing experience. I will not soon forget about this place and will recommend it to everyone I see!!
Outstanding! Food, service, drinks, this place offers great food in a charming atmosphere! Highly recommended!
Just came home from dinner at la fiesta and it was awesome food was excellent our waitress was really nice explain everything to us about the menu I would definitely recommend it and definitely going back again
First time here, amazing food yes it's abit pricey but authentic food forsure, worth the money!
Great drinks and food. Very polite staff. Felt authentic
Best place to eat in Winnipeg hands down. Beautiful family run restaurant. You just have to try it and you will agree it's beyond 5 stars!
Wow cant say enough about this place!!! Do your self a favor and try it out!! You will not be disappointed!!!!
Excellent very cozy friendly staff great food
Food is slow to come but worth it. Family run.
The restaurant has a very welcoming environment, with colourful, vibrant decor. The staff is super friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our meals, and I especially liked the very cheesy nachos. Definitely want to try more dishes in the future!
Great food, service, charming and cozy place....and absolutely lovely people.
Great atmosphere. Food was awesome! I'll be back for more.
What a great meal and great atmosphere. It is good to see a non chain restaurant full. Would definitely go back. Thank you.
Very quick and friendly service. Really enjoyed the pupusas tonight! Will be coming again.
I love this place. This is the best mexican/South American food I have found since coming back to Canada. Absolutely blows everywhere else out of the water. I also love that they have so many vegan options which are clearly marked. I cannot recommend this friendly and delicious place enough.
The service is slow but the food is fantastic.
Authentic Mexican food... absolutely delicious...owned and operated by a wonderful family... on occasion you will find grandpa playing his guitar and serenading the customers. I will definitely put this on my must regularly frequent list.
Went here last night for first time. I raved about it long after we left. This restaurant was cozy, clean, and well organized. We received above wonderful service from all staff. The food was absolutely the most authentic tasting you will find in the city and the most delicious. I am vegan and options were plentiful. My new favourite restaurant.
What an amazing little restaurant. Buried in a strip mall and well worth the visit. Authentic and flavorful food with personal service.
Great tasting food with charming staff. Can't wait to go back!
Great place for a burrito. Small family run restaurant. Clean and friendly
The food is amazing, I think the best pupusas in the city. Try the fried chicharron, one of my favourites. The owners are super friendly. Food sometimes can take a bit long but worth the wait as they make everything fresh.
